Our Barren River Lake rentals cover most kinds of lake day. Big groups can take a double decker, families tend to pick a tritoon, and paddlers can rent a kayak and explore the coves at their own pace. Every rental leaves from our dock in the state resort park, so guests staying in the park can walk down from their room or campsite.
We have two 2021 Crest 25-foot double decker tritoons, one with 250 horsepower and one with 200, each carrying up to 13 people. There is also a 2021 Crest 23-foot tritoon with 150 horsepower for up to 12. A tritoon rental rides steadier than a two-tube pontoon, which helps when the lake gets choppy on a busy afternoon.
The 27-foot aluminum double decker pontoon carries up to 18 people on a 115 horsepower engine. It has the largest capacity in the fleet, so it suits reunions and bigger family groups. A double decker pontoon rental also gives everyone more room to spread out, with an upper deck for watching the water.
Single and double kayaks rent for a full day. A kayak rental is the quiet way to see the lake: you can slip into shallow coves that bigger boats cannot reach, and early mornings are usually calm.
Tubes, kneeboards, skis and wakeboards can be reserved with your boat. Ask for them when you book so the team can set them aside for you.
A pontoon rental is forgiving to drive, but it still pays to come prepared. Bring sunscreen, hats, water and a cooler, and count heads so you pick a boat with room to spare. If nobody in your party has driven a boat before, say so when you book. The staff can walk you through the controls before you leave the dock.
Kentucky has boater education rules for some operators. Check the current rules with the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources before your trip, and bring photo ID.
If you typed pontoon rental near me from Glasgow, Bowling Green or a park cottage, you are in the right place. Rentals run in season, from mid April to mid October.
Use the Book Now button at the top of this page to reserve online, or phone 270-646-2357. Published rates are for planning, and the team will go over availability, rental requirements, taxes and fees with you. Weekends and holidays book out first, so plan ahead.
Full-day rentals give you time to do more than one thing. Many groups cruise for an hour, anchor in a cove for swimming and lunch, then spend the afternoon tubing or fishing. Keep an eye on the clock and the weather, and head back with time to spare so return is relaxed rather than rushed. Before you leave, fuel up and grab ice at the marina store.
Pack sunscreen, hats, sunglasses and a towel for each person. Bring a cooler with food and plenty of water, since summer heat on the lake builds quickly. A dry bag keeps phones and car keys safe. If you plan to swim, bring water shoes for rocky coves. Leave glass at home, and bring a trash bag so you can carry out what you carry in.
Return the boat on time and tied up where the staff ask. If something went wrong during the day, such as a bump against the dock, say so at check-in. Honest reporting keeps the fleet in good shape for the next family.
